Will you be my mathentine?

The students completed a math activity that included graphing, creating arrays, measuring area, etc. with candy hearts for Valentines day!  It was a fun AND educational way to celebrate.

Snow Shoeing

We decided to take advantage of the BEAUTIFUL weather outside this afternoon and try out the school's snow shoes. Check out some of the fun we had!

Social Studies

We are going to be watching this video clip in Social Studies this week. We will be learning about the ways of life around the world in the next few weeks. This will be the introduction to the unit.

Bird Houses

We are wrapping up our unit on Structures in grade three Science. We created bird houses out of recycled materials today. Here are a few of the finished products.

Bridges.

We tested out our bridge constructions today. Some turned out to be very sturdy and were able to hold a heavy load!

MORE recycling

Hello! We are making birdhouses as part of our structures unit this week. We will be using recycled materials. Please send a water bottle, pop bottle, 1-2 litre milk container or a juice carton with your child to school by Tuesday. As a wrap up to this unit, we will soon be visiting to new SARCAN in Kamsakc.
