Coming Soon
I am going to be creating some math videos that will take you through step by step how to help your child with math the way we are now teaching it at school. Stay tuned for videos posted on this blog!
Maple Syrup Collecting
Mr. Brundt came in today to talk to us about how they will be using the milk jugs we have been collecting for them. If you have a chance ask your child about it!

Milk Jugs
Part of our Science Curriculum in Grade three teaches about recycling, and environmental responsibility. Our school was asked to collect 1000 milk jugs to help out a community group. In return, the group will donate $100 (10 cents per jug). I have decided to have the 3B class take on this project, since it fits nicely with our curriculum. If your family has any 4L milk jugs between now and the beginning of March, please send them to school to be donated. We ask that the caps be removed and the jugs be rinsed.
Thanks!
3D Models
We have been working on the concept of 3D Shapes in Math. We have been talking about their feature, such as vertices, edges and faces. The students created 3D Skeleton models of some 3D objects this week.

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a restful break! We were back at it in the classroom today. The students experimented with shapes and structures by building towers and testing out what kind of load they would hold.
