Math Club

Math club is starting up for grade 3 and 4's in our own classroom Tuesdays after school. A permission form has been sent home. Please fill it out and return it to school if you would like to participate. The club will run from 3:15-4:00 until the end of April.

Telemiracle

Thank you to all of you who purchased helping hands and the hot lunch fundraiser today. Every student present ordered the lunch, and many purchased hands. The money goes to such a great cause. There are famlies within our own community who have benefitted from the funds raised by telemiracle.

Watch at 12pm noon on Sunday for the Pow Wow dancers from Cote First Nation. Talon Severight, in our class, will be dancing on Stage and broadcasted on TV. Congrats Talon and fellow dancers!

Books, book bags and More!

Thank you to Leone and Greg Ottenbriet and the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton for donating $365 to our class for new book bags, books and reading prizes to our classroom! The Ottenbriets came to present the books to the students today. The kids were pretty excited to go home with new books and bags to carry them in today! What an awesome program :D Pictures to follow.

Math!: Patterns

We had fun learning about patterns in grade three this fall. Students learned about increasing and decreasing patterns. They also learned about pattern rules and practicing finding missing numbers in a pattern. Check out some of the photos.

Dirt!

Our first Science unit this year was about Dirt! We did quite a few cool experiments.
We discovered that not all soil is the same. Sand, loam, humus and clay are all parts of soil. Some hole more water than others. Some allow us to grow things better than others. We also learned about composting and started our role as the school composters. Check out some of the pictures!
